Description
The Knoll workshop, established in Germany in 1932 by Alfred Knoll (1909-1980), has a rich legacy in bow making. Alfred’s son, Harmut, took over the workshop in 1977, followed by Harmut’s son, Gerald, in 2003, continuing the family tradition. Today, the Knoll workshop continues to excel, crafting a diverse array of bows that cater to advanced students and professional soloists alike, upholding a tradition of excellence and precision in the art of bow making. Simply for Strings is an authorised stockist of Knoll bows.
