TheGEWA Air Luthierseries was designed and developed in collaboration with luthiers and experts, further expanding on the best ideas, developments and innovations of the GEWA Air Series. The focus was on starting with a blank canvas, and making the case feature packed, which has resulted in a case series that is perfectly adapted to theneedsof the string instrument world.
In addition to the features of the regular Air range, new to the Luthier series is the mechanically adjustableneck rest, whichensures that the case can be adapted exactly to your instrument, from 4/4 down to 1/2 sizes.Also new is GEWA’sSoft Touchsurface, which is not only robust, but adds an elegant touch to an already modern design.
Each case is a masterpiece, incorporating both quality engineering and functional design into one case.The Air Series is manufactured usingGEWA’s Air Shell Technology, where the outer skin and inner shells are moulded independently of each other, and then joined together using a special process with foam. It guarantees a highresistance to breakage, as impacts are absorbed by slight deformation, whilst also ensuring highly effectiveinsulationagainst temperature fluctuations and weather. Despite their strength and resistance, the cases are incredibly light.
