Description
Dreadbox Treminator has its roots in a synthesizer’s last signal flow stage, the voltage-controlled amplifier or VCA. Dreadbox took this simple circuit and adapted it into an expressive guitar pedal combined with an LFO controlled by envelope generators. The result is Treminator. Forget everything you knew about tremolos and prepare to be amazed!
- Expressive analog tremolo
- VCA circuit straight out of a synthesizer
- Wide range LFO: 20 sec–220hz
- Tap tempo with multiple division settings
- 2 envelope generators to control LFO behavior
- 3 patch points to interact with CV and modular gear
With five tremolo waveshapes as well as separate controls to fade both depth and rate in or out, Treminator can function as a classic triangle tremolo pedal or a more extreme sound chopper.
Treminator can be used as a standard guitar pedal and can also be integrated with modular synthesizers and other CV-capable gear through its three 1/8″ modular patch points. Control the VCA level and the tremolo/LFO rate via dedicated CV inputs, or send Treminator’s tremolo/LFO out to other gear via the CV output.
