Description
Stop, Start Tango is written for a developing string ensemble. It uses a catchy opening tune which aims to help students improve their string crossings and chromatic notes. The accompaniment features a groovy bass pizzicato rhythm and the inner parts are relatively simple with a few challenges thrown in. There is a short middle section in d minor before the opening melody reappears. While the piano part is not essential, it will certainly enhance the performance and help to stabilise the rhythm.
